What is a Virtual Assistant (VA)? |
| A
Virtual Assistant (VA) is a self-employed, freelance, professional administrative
assistant who performs all the duties expected of a PA/administrator,
but from the VA's own premises; in my case, from a fully-equipped office
in North-West London. I have most of the frequently-used software packages
and the latest technology facilities. For the international business
person, a VA is the vital link with clients when travelling or when
a report or presentation is required. Virtual Assistants own their own
          business and are experienced at working independently and "virtually";
they are entrepreneurs who understand the pressures that clients may
be under. This VA is a member of the Alliance
of UK Virtual Assistants and speaks French, German and Hebrew. References
          available. |
| Who Needs a Virtual Assistant (VA)? |
| Any
individual, business large or small, consultant, artist, agency or organisation
requiring to outsource work on a one-off, on-going or project basis,
but not wishing to employ someone on a part or full-time basis from
their own premises. The VA provides a valuable service for people who
travel frequently and who are too busy for the day to day running of
an office, and can act as the contact person to represent the client
in a professional manner whilst away. As the VA is neither a temp nor
an employee, she can tailor her services to provide first class administrative
support and enable the client to focus on core tasks rather than time-consuming
          administrative chores. |
